The Vision
Eumelanin Skn is a luxury skincare Line founded by Gina Cheng a licensed esthetician ; who struggled with Sensitive Skin and Psoriasis—experimenting with multiple skincare brands that claimed to help with these issues but instead irritate the skin and were highly fragrant. Gina was inspired to get educated about skin and create a skincare line dedicated to people who faced similar problems. So she became a license esthetician. You are not just buying skin care products from a random stranger but instead it’s more like getting skin care from your local esthetician.

Why The Rebranding?
We were formally Known as Skin City Beauty 101; although our name has changed, we are still your luxury skincare company that makes skincare products with a purpose. We Still Formulated using the Best ingredients and pure organic oils. We still believe in luxury experiences and fast shipping, and customer service. Eumelanin skin wants to make sure it reaches a community that has often gone under-looked in the beauty industry, and we choose to have a name that reflects the people it would like to showcase. Eumelanin is the scientific name for a specific type of melanin in the skin that makes skin, hair, and eyes go from the lightest of brown to the darkest of black. Our Mission is to showcase and broadcast the beauty in this community and create and educate people on skincare that works with melanin.
Fair Trade
Eumelanin Skn is also a Fair Trade company. Our oils are shipped from Brazil, not just any part of brazil, but the villages around the amazon. Our Butters are from Ghana, West Africa; all sugar scrubs are made with non-bleach raw sugar cane from the west indies.
Eumelanin Skn would like to ensure these communities receive a proper living wage; you will see a subtle price increase with our products. This ensures fair trade and to continue using high-quality oils and butter.
